- Consultation on best-practice organic planting and pruning techniques
- Ideas for specialized gardens and container gardens in sun or shade
- Information on application of organic soil amendments
- Selecting 'the right plant' for the right place
Consulting Process:
When Judy meets with a client for the first on-site consultation they tour the property and discuss what the client would like in the way of gardening advice and/or services. They may discuss possible garden design ideas, types of perennials, shrubs or annuals that need to be moved, divided, or replaced. Judy may offer advice that needs immediate attention in the garden such as weeding, mulching, composting, pruning or organic pest control.
If Judy will be designing a new garden or garden expansion for the client, she meets with them to discuss her proposal. Together, they review the design plan, plant recommendations and color photos of the plants she has proposed. Judy is open to any changes in the plan or plant choices that the client might request.
Judy will work side-by-side with the client to design the garden and choose the plantings together. She will design and install the garden spaces individually, or over an extended period of time, depending on the client’s preferences and budget.
